How much subsidy will I get?
₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. Group housing societies get ₹18,000 per kW for common facilities (up to 500 kW).
Who is eligible?
Indian residential electricity consumers with a valid connection and suitable roof, installing grid-connected rooftop solar with DCR panels through the national portal.
Documents you'll need
Latest electricity bill, Aadhaar, PAN, a cancelled cheque/passbook of the account holder, roof ownership/permission, and photos of the roof.
The process
Register on pmsuryaghar.gov.in → apply for rooftop solar → feasibility approval from DISCOM → installation by a vendor → net meter & inspection → commissioning → subsidy credited to your bank.
