The challenge
The roof's capacity to carry additional load was unverified, the site sits in a dusty industrial corridor with heavy soiling, and an earlier proposal had sized the system to roof area rather than actual consumption.
What we did
Structural capacity was assessed before design; the system was sized against twelve months of consumption data. Every penetration was sealed, flashed and photographed. An O&M contract with soiling-driven cleaning and monthly generation reporting started on day one.
